Tiffany Batiste, LCPC
Tiffany Batiste is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and the founder of Behind The Veil Counseling LLC, a teletherapy practice based in Southern Maryland serving teens, adults, couples, and families. Tiffany holds a Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Clinical Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University. With a background as a school-based counselor, she brings a relatable, down-to-earth approach to therapy that helps clients feel comfortable, understood, and at ease from the very first session. As a military brat, she brings a deep appreciation for diversity, adaptability, and the impact of transitions on mental health.
Tiffany’s clinical work is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a strengths-based approach that helps clients recognize and build upon their existing resilience, skills, and inner resources. She integrates cultural sensitivity and spiritual awareness into her work, honoring the unique values, identities, and lived experiences each client brings to the therapeutic process. Tiffany is committed to creating a supportive and affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. She prioritizes supporting the mental health needs of BIPOC communities, while providing inclusive care for all. She believes healing is possible for everyone and that no one is beyond repair.
Beyond the Therapy Space
“Outside of sessions, I like to recharge with a good cup of coffee—or tea, no judgment. Like many of my clients, I juggle multiple roles in life, which keeps my approach to therapy practical, grounded, and empathetic. And yes, I love a good meal—because healing takes work, and it’s often the little pleasures that keep us going.”
